Turkana County sustainable peace and security

In a timely boost to the government's efforts to reorient Turkana County towards sustainable peace and security, elected leaders from the area have unanimously undertaken to up their funding for infrastructural development through their respective NGCDF committees.
According to CS Kithure Kindiki, the move will accelerate the operationalization and staffing up of the newly-created administrative units, which are designed to bring security and citizen services closer to wananchi.
This is one of the outcomes of their meeting with CS Kithure Kindiki in Lodwar, where they also thrashed out the finer details on collaboration with the government in implementing peace-building initiatives and ending the culture of gun violence and instability.
