Kenya and Germany have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation in development and security. During a Nairobi meeting, PS for Internal Security Dr. Raymond Omollo hosted H.E. Stefan Groth, German Ambassador to Kenya, Somalia, and Seychelles, to discuss collaboration aligned with Kenya’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
Key focus areas include youth empowerment, skilled labour mobility, digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, border and maritime security, disaster early warning systems, and public administration capacity building. Both sides pledged to protect Kenyans working abroad by cracking down on illegal recruitment agencies.
Dr. Omollo also commended Germany’s support through GIZ programmes that strengthen peace building, conflict transformation, and youth and women engagement in North Eastern, Rift Valley, Coast, and Nairobi regions, marking a milestone in Kenya-Germany cooperation.
