President Muhammadu Buhari has this morning led the Nigerian delegation in bilateral meetings with the Kenyan government led by His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta.

In the meeting it was agreed to combine efforts in the fight against terrorism. The two countries will cooperate at the multi-lateral and bi-lateral fronts to eliminate terrorism.

Peace and security are essential ingredients to sustainable development, and that is why Kenya continues to be at the forefront in championing for the realization of peace and security in Africa. It was also agreed in the meeting to promote trade ties between the two countries.

Intra-Africa trade and investment is key to African integration. A series of high-level engagements between the two countries in the last few years have provided an opportunity for enhanced engagement both at government and private sector level and it is imperative that we maintain the momentum for the mutual benefit of our people and countries.
